We're home...

Vacation was great! Had an awesome time with the siblings and we LOVED the house we rented. The weather was pretty good, the view was spectacular and the food was DELICIOUS! The flight home was about what you would expect after a week of vacation (exhaustion and irritability). But the big surprise that we received was when we got home. The streets leading to our home had water standing on them and both of us admitted we were worried about the sump pump doing it's job while we were away. Nater went down to check it out and reported that the basement smells musty, the carpet damp and the grout looks wet. Welcome home (the house says). I can't bring myself to go down there just yet. Maybe tomorrow...
