5 going on 15
Conner experienced his first attempt at running away at the ripe old age of FIVE. He made it to the middle of the backyard where he circled around, contemplating whether or not he really wanted to follow through with it. Then he came to the back door, peered in at me and saw my smile. He stomped off with his fists at his side and made it to the edge of our property. He then stopped, stood still for a couple minutes, and came back to the house. He then came inside and told me he needed to take the sidewalk and headed out front where he stood in front of the garage door. Finally, I told him we need to pick up his dad and to get in the house. He grumbled to himself "this better not take long" and reluctantly got into his carseat.
He told me today, while cuddled up together, "I'm sure glad I didn't run away". Me too buddy, me too.

This is hysterical and so so cute. I am crazy with this stupid brief due Monday. I'm skipping Easter and banned from the internet - (starting 2 days ago). Colorado pics are awesome. I've been thinking of you and would love to catch up next week if you have time to chat. Hope taxes went/are going well.
ReplyDeleteHe looks like a little man.
ReplyDeleteThat is hilarious.
Keely
he's darling. Love it.
ReplyDeleteHilarious!!!! Now, is he peeing in that photo where he is facing away? I am so curious what made him run away :)
ReplyDeleteAnd what awful offense did you commit to prompt this decision to think about running away?
ReplyDeleteI did that many times growing up. It makes me laugh to think back to those days! So cute. Love that you caught it to show him later :)
ReplyDeleteI love, love, LOVE that you took photos of him. It drives me bonkers when my kids get that pissed off about something, but then the hugs and love at the end of the day make up for it all.
